This is series of flares and plasma injections were emitted from the sun earlier this month. The flares and injections shot Coronal Mass Injections, which are huge bubbles of gas that intertwined with magnetic field lines, that created a geometric storm. In other words a view much like the Aurora Borealis was seen in Main. The aurora was seen to Wisconsin. This to me just looks spectacular. This is also a seldom occasion. I wish I could have seen this is person, however from Florida, the auroras cannot reach this far South. It not like everyday you see an aurora like this one, it was reported as the most spectacular one this year.
